Why do Men Give Names to Their Penises?

I must state from the get go that I have no unique name for my penis and doubt very much that it will ever be given a unique identifier. For me, a few other males and most females it is most confusing and sometimes incomprehensible why a man would assign a separate and unique name to his penis. You would hardly, if ever, find that names are assigned to other members of the body, but the same cannot be said for this unique appendage. In some cultures where the penis is most revered and held in very high esteem it is more often than not given a name by individuals. There are literally thousands of penis names in circulation and a small survey in any U.S. city will be quite revealing to say the least.

So why the names? You find in societies where lax of morality is abhorred and conservatism is the order of the day that anything with a hint of sexuality is often looked upon with disdain by individuals. Such individuals are less likely to give names to their penises and are very discreet when it comes to sexual matters. Countries of the orient are more bent towards having nameless penises.

In western cultures such as the U.S. the opposite is quite true. With freedom to practice and indulge in all sorts of sexuality we find many individuals place a high value on their sexuality and by extension their sex organs. Penises and vaginas are highly regarded and parties of both sexes (with an emphasis on males) find it necessary to assign a name to their sex organ. The appearance and performance of the penis during any sexually encounter is given much consideration. By naming the penis many men seem to acquire a great deal of confidence and at times a much needed boost in ego.

The truth of the matter is that whether or not the penis has a name is of no consequence. What really matters is the individual behind the penis. Truth be told some females are most impressed and enticed by a penis with a name and in some cases are the ones assigning names to the penis of their mate.

Some common penis names are as follows: Johnny, the one-eyed-snake, the cobra, willy, crippler, ding-dong.

When Penis Enlargement Surgery Goes Wrong!

June 24, 2008 · Filed Under Penis Enlargement Surgery, penis enhancement · 1 Comment

Is it possible for enlargement surgery to go wrong? Very much so, and at times the ultimate outcome is most devastating for the recipient ‘patient’. Most if not all surgeries pose an element of risk and with penis enlargement surgeries it is no different. Because of its appeal in terms of getting almost immediate results and the sheer desperation of some men, many are willing to take their chances and go under the knife.

At the inception of using surgery as an enlargement technique there was much hype and grand proclamations about the level of customer satisfaction that many who had gone through the process were experiencing. However, it soon became obvious that such was not the case, when more and more individuals started speaking out loud and protesting (with disfigured ‘members’ as their witnesses) the shady and unprofessional work that they had been subjected to. The number and frequency of such complains soon made it plain that things weren’t as cheery as many had first thought and over time the use of enlargement surgery to bring about effective change to size of the penis became a less than stellar innovation.

During that period of low ebb and lack of progress much was being done behind the scenes and in recent time this method of enlargement has been reignited with much more credibility and efficacy. There are now more options when it comes to addressing issues of both the length and the girth of the penis. These better implemented and more innovated procedures have significantly reduced on the risk factor. However, the prices continue to be quite hefty.

Even with all the innovation and continued improvements things still go wrong. And when they do clients are usually left without a clue as to how to correct (if even possible) the problem or make the necessary adjustments in their lifestyles that would allow them to cope and live somewhat of a normal life. Surgeons are usually able to find ways and means of passing on the blame for what might be due to their own shortcomings and exempt themselves from all forms of liability. Even in cases where successful lawsuits are filed, the client is no better off emotional and otherwise, than where he would have been without the monetary reward. Many would quickly exchange the reward if they would be able to regain normal functioning and appearance of the penis.

The degree of complications associated with the surgery could vary greatly. It could range from minor discomfort to having a completely defunct and useless appendage attached to your lower abdomen. With most if not all surgeries there will be some level of discomfort and initial pain which should rightfully subside over time. In some cases this pain and discomfort becomes a continuous, lifelong experience which significantly reduces on the quality of life that one is able to have. In better cases the pain and discomfort only arises when the penis is in the excited or erect state. This would not have much effect on ones day to day activities but ones sex life can be significantly affected. In some cases corrective surgery is able to help alleviate the discomfort but that is not always the case and could also inadvertently exacerbate the pain if things go wrong the second time around.

Scarring and disfigurement of the penis is also a possibility with surgery. Of course, there is always the surgical mark left where the surgeon has made incisions. Depending on the procedure that is done these scars could be quite prominent and become more so with time. The normal shape and feel of the penis can also be significantly altered after surgical healing is complete.

Then there are the more serious cases when the penis loses sensation - nerves are damaged; when nerve damage is the cause of sensation loss then it become a permanent condition. In some situations sensation loss is only temporary before normal functioning and feelings are regained. With nerve damage it becomes difficult to enjoy a healthy sex life and could ultimately lead to erectile dysfunction if that was not the case from the very onset. Going through such difficult and challenging circumstances can serious erode on the self-esteem and self-worth of most men and lead to depression and all sorts of emotional and psychological problems.

Learning to live a fulfilling life after going through any of the above situations can be a daunting task for some individuals. Individuals who place much value on the size, shape and overall functioning and appearance of their penis are usually the ones who opt of enlargement surgery. For such individuals it is more of a challenge to cope with a less than perfect appendage. In cases where physical scarring leaves one in continuous discomfort, the challenge of making adjustments can be the greatest. Use of pain therapy and medication might become an integral part of one’s daily life in order to attain some level of comfort. This life transforming experience would also require a drastic change in approach and mentality by the individual if they are to recover from the mental scars of the experience. Counseling might be a necessity for some to get over the hurdle and start living a satisfying life that places less emphasis on the penis, sex and the rest.

In light of all that has been discussed above, it is my recommendation that all persons interested in penis enlargement look at enhancement surgery as the last, the very last option. Enlargement exercises, extenders and other devices have proven their worthy and have minimal risk associated with their use. Take the time required and go with the safer more reliable alternatives.
